Small blog update

Quick post to give a small update on some things around this blog.

I sadly can’t find time to update my theme, so instead, I decided to start using one of the defaults: Twenty Twenty-Five. Turns out customizing it through the block editor is quite fun.

There are still some things to tweak, for instance, the width and font size on certain elements, but otherwise, I’m at something I like.

The default font has also been swapped for the new Atkinson font, which is designed to be legible by everybody.

Even if my theme was fun to make for a while and felt a bit more authentic, lots of stuff was hardcoded, thus difficult to update on the fly. I don’t really want to push a new version each time I want to tweak something.

At least now, I have fancy comments and the Fediverse “follow me” and “interactions” blocks don’t look improper, and I don’t have to touch front-end code any more.

Content-wise, I thought my last post about DMR would be the last one in the series, but expect a new one very soon. I’ll be testing some software that I’ve never tried before.

Stay tuned, and stay purple.
