Discord has been a lot in the news lately, and I won’t lie, this post is written as a direct result. However, this is not a “you should switch to this” post, more of an announcement.
I’ve been holding my Resonite Team office hours (called “The Purple Hour”) since July 2025, and the editions were traditionally streamed in the Resonite Discord, in the “Office Hours” stage.
Those happen every third Tuesday of the month, at 19:00 UTC.
Given the upcoming changes on stage channel speakers, I’ve decided to take the Purple Hour a bit more public.
From now on, it will be livestreamed from an Owncast instance, allowing anybody to watch and participate without needing any other kind of account.
Also, not only you can ask questions within the usual Discord thread, but now also via the wiki, and the built-in Owncast chat. As a side note: if the chat ends up being a moderation nightmare, I will just disable it.
