Previously, I reviewed the AnyTone AT-D168UV, and today, time for its big brother, the AT-D890UV.

Now, those two are really similar, they boast the same specs in all aspects but one: the AT-D890UV ships with a GPS, allowing for APRS and satellite pass calculations more easily.
So far, it’s been working out fairly well, when going outside, I set the APRS reporting to a delay to avoid having to press the “send” button myself.
Other than that, it works as well as the AT-D168UV. I’ll also say that the blue colour is refreshing for a radio, as those usually only come in black. I wish there were more options like purple for instance.
The AT-D890UV is now my daily driver for DMR.
